" Oh when He comes, he
turns a common place to a holy ground. (Joshua 5:13-15)
Oh when He comes, he converts a shabby house to a cathedral of
glory. (Acts 4:23-31)
Oh when He comes, he turns the tattered sons of men into sons
of God (Acts 9:10-20)
In the beginning when....”the earth was a formless void and
darkness covered the face of the deep”. The earth was without form, it was desolation,
a desert, a worthless thing. An indistinguishable ruin. Wickedness, misery,
destruction and death covered the face of the deep.
Can
you see this picture, the earth was formless, and the evilness was over the
deep. And then He came, the Spirit of God, and hovered and swept over the waters.
As
He was fluttering over the waters, as a bird flutters over the land and the
seas. God said “let there be light.” And then there was light, the Holy Spirit
turned the chaos to a beauty, a desert to a garden, something indistinguishable to something distinguishable. And Glory to God.
And
then He came again, on the day of the festival of the first fruits, the
Pentecost. His coming on the day of Pentecost was not accidental. Prophet Joel
had prophesied, “In the last days I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh.” It was prophecy fulfilled.
And
then we are told that the Israelites used to pray this word from the book of
Isaiah past many generations.”Look down from heaven and see, from your holy and
glorious habitation. Where are your zeal and your might? The yearning of your
heart and your compassion... “That you would tear open the heavens and come
down, so that the mountains would quake at your presence...”
Nine ⁰’clock
in the morning, the Holy Spirit came, as prophesied by Jesus “...you will be
baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
He
appeared among men and woman, who where afflicted, storm tossed, and not
comforted.
“.....there
came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house
where they were sitting. Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and
a tongue rested on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit
and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability....”
These
men and woman, battered and tattered, praying together with Mary in one place,
all of a sudden where transformed into oaks of righteousness to display the
glory of God. The Mighty Holy Spirit came to turn the sons of men into sons of
God.
On
the day of Pentecost, people living in all the nations where in Jerusalem that
day. The Bible says they were bewildered, amazed, perplexed and astonished as
they heard in their own languages words about “God’s deeds of power.” They heard
in Italian, Arabic, Greek and many other languages. This was a indication to all the nations
gathered there, of the things to come. The gospel of the kingdom will be
preached in all the nations and then end will come....And there was a great
multitude that no one could count, from every nation, from all times and
peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb....”
And
then He will come again in full force to renew the face of the earth. He will take the chaos and set it in order. As
in the beginning he will move over the earth. And there shall be a new heavens
and a new earth. “When you send forth your spirit, they are created; and you
renew the face of the ground.”
Everything
old will pass away and everything will become new.
“Then
the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing
from the throne of God and of the lamb through the middle of the city. On
either side of the river is the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit,
producing its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing
of the nations,...and there will no more lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be
their light, and they will reign forever and ever.”"
